Harry's Canada Sport Trip Fund '15

Harry Conway, 13, from Briagolong Victoria, Australia, a small community of about 1000 people, has been participating in school sporting events in shot-put and discus for many years.  Harry has been competing in Regional and State Track and Field competition consistently for the past five years after acquiring a strong passion and ability through his involvement in the Sale Little Athletics Club from the age of five. Harry has previously represented the Briagolong Primary School at both regional and state level within the field of shot put and discus. Since beginning year 7 at Maffra Secondary College 2014 Harry has furthered his abilities by becoming the Regional shot put under 13 record holder while competing in Newborough. He also competed in State Track and Field at Albert Park, Melbourne placing 5th from 10 competitors.

As a result of Harry's consistency with shot put and discus in past competitions he has been invited by Sports Travel Australia to compete in the June/July 2015 Track and Field Tour in Canada. Harry will be representing Australia on this tour, competing in the Jack Brow Meet in Kelowna and then also at the Trevor Craven Meet in Vancouver.

That's right....CANADA! Here Harry will get the opportunity to travel and compete internationally against athletes of a similar age and standard, while developing new friendships by sharing group experiences with fellow students from  different parts of Australia.

The progam on offer comes with some amazing perks for young and upcoming sportsmen and women who can develop their skills while experiencing an amazing once in a lifetime opportunity..

For Harry to attend these overseas meets we are seeking donations to raise funds to cover the costs of airfares, transport, accommodation, meals, competition entry fees, tour uniform, registration, insurances and other incidentals for him and a parent/guardian.  Any donations, big or small, would be greatly appreciated by Harry and really help him to reach his dreams.
