On October 19, 2014 I posted a video of my arrest with my 7 year old son after taking him to the movies on my facebook page. The video showed where I had asserted my rights as a US Citizen because I was racially profiled. The Cops arrested me and charged me with Disorderly Conduct and Treaspassing (which I have since been found not guilty). This video received over 8K views from my page and the police force in the area seen it as disrespectful to them and on October 23, 2014 my Used Auto Dealership was raided by the West Virginia State Police by way of an illegal warrant obtained under false pretenses. My business assests were seized which included all computers, files, toners for copiers, financial documents, titles to all my cars and they went as far as to seize personal property from my employees (cell phones) and forced them for their access codes. I live in a small town where I am different than the population that I serve and the negative impact of the publicity from the purpose put out by the State Police (stolen cars, fraud, scemes, tax evasion, etc.) and the fact that my property was seized has prevented me from defending my business which secures payroll for my employees which was at a total of 20.
My defense team assures me that i have major Civil Rights Violations which includes my Constitutional Rights of the Forth and Forthteen Amendment. They also feel that to gain justice I must file in the Federal Court under a Civil Rights Satute. Yet, my team is unable to continue to move forward without a Defense Fund. We are a Family Business that up to the date of the raid, We did not have a single Consumer Complaint against us filed with the Department of Motor Vehicles yet now they have us Shut Down as a result of this Raid.
We are the American Dream, we saved our money and when we lost our jobs we decided to open up a business in 2006. We started with 4 cars and no employess and have grown to 20 employees. We have lived modestly and invested back into the business which is why it has grown. Our Assets in the business is all we have and now our dream has turned in to a nightmare and we only want Justice for the wrongs done to us so that we can salvage our life and move on.
