Hope in a Cup!

You can provide hope in a cup. You can be a part of changing the life of a foster kid or a former foster kid. Covenant Community Services  in Bakersfield, CA employs emancipated foster youth through Covenant Coffee . Here, the youth are trained as baristas, coffee roasters, and managers. They learn not only how to make coffee, but how to be leaders as well. Covenant Coffee is doing so well, they'd even like to open a new location to help more youth. However, Covenant's current equipment is aging, and in order for them to continue equipping these emancipated foster youth (meaning they've aged out of the system without being adopted) with the skills they need to be successful adults, they need us to step up. We aren't just raising money for equipment, we are asking you to invest  in the lives of young people who desperately need to know we care about them.  With every cup of coffee they brew or pound of coffee they roast and sell, not only are the lives touching the coffee changed, but the profits are then invested back into other foster youth as well through the many other services Covenant maintains. This is truly a win for everyone and you won't want to miss being a part.
