Hay and Vet Care for Therapy Horses

We are raising money to help feed and care for the horses in our equine therapy program.
Hope Happens with a Horse is a nonprofit organization that helps children through horse-based therapy. Working with horses has been proven to benefit behaviorally and emotionally challenged people of all agaes. These benefits can include emotional control, communication skills, and self-esteem.
Since 2009, we have provided safe, supervised, and structured interactions with horses to convey the proven benefits of equine therapy. Activities include grooming and caring for horses, learning to communicate verbally and non-verbally with horses and other animals, riding, relationship-building, and the development of mutual respect between children and animals. We work to develop hope, communication skills, self-esteem, and self-control in all who participate in our program.
Our stable currently includes two horses, Jersey and Natlie; a Shetland pony named Penny; and our newest arrival, Jake the miniature donkey.
Your contribution will be used to pay for hay, feed, and veterinary care in 2015. Through your donation, you can help our animals to help people.
