Desmond & King Memorial Hope & Strength

Desmond Miles Perry and King Orion Brown were infants that were cherished and loved by their family. They are cousins that were born weeks apart but never got to meet. They have both left this world too soon and are now playing together in heaven.
Desmond was born a few weeks early and stayed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for a short time before being able to come home with family. Shortly after that, he developed a fever and was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. He then fought for his life while in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for several weeks. His fight tragically came to an end after a series of seizures and strokes caused massive irreversible damage to his brain. His short 6 weeks on Earth were very powerful. He brought people together and reminded us that through adversity...family will always be there. Desmond was a symbol of hope in our family. Hope that he would get better. Hope that we would get through it. Hope that in the end we had enough strength to go on. Every day we are reminded of him and he lives on through our hope.
King was a very strong baby boy. He unexpectedly passed away while peacefully sleeping. Heaven called back another angel after just 2 short months with us. King was always energetic around family and friends. King means Ruler or one which holds a supreme position. Orion means Rising in the sky, the light and great hunter. He was born with a very strong name. So in his memory we need to be strong. King had a very strong grip which was way ahead of his age. He held onto his mother's finger all the time with a herculean grip. She understood this gesture as one final message from King. That message was "stay strong and hold on for me...no matter what keep holding on." King was definitely our strength. We will always hold onto that strength.
These little ones represent the hope and strength of our family. Hope that it will get better and Strength to hold on until it does. In just 4 short months, our family received two blessings with their arrival and were called back to Heaven to become angels. These angels will forever watch over us.
