The Memorial Day Flood of the Blanco and San Marcos Rivers destroyed 100's of homes throughout Hays County leaving thousands of our neighbors, friends, and family displaced and without a home. While many have donated time, labor, money, food, supplies, their guest bedrooms and couches, Most are still without homes.

J Evans Custom Home Construction  has committed to helping as many victims as we can by providing 160 square foot and 320 square foot, fully furnished "mini mansion" container homes for temporary living while victims rebuild their new home and life. We have also committed to help a couple families rebuild a permanent residence who did not have insurance and received no help from fema. In order to fullfill this goal and help out these families, we need all the donations we can get.

Container Home Construction is over 30 times stronger than traditional homes, is made of 85% recycled steel, cost substantially less to build than traditional homes, and if properly insulated, is #1 in energy efficiency. Using containers also reduces the amount of containers sitting in ship yards as we decommission over 1.9 million containers annually in the US alone.

Our "mini mansions" can be constructed in our warehouse in under 30 days and can be transported to those in need. We have already recieved messages from over 50 families looking for temporary housing and want to get started right away.

To construct these fully furnished units at cost runs from 16,000 to 26,000 dependent upon the size of the unit. Our goal of 100k raised would allow us to build  a few temporary units, as well as, assist in helping others build a permanent residence. They can be installed on their property with all the basics of a home; i.e. plumbing, electric, nook kitchen, bed, bathroom etc.

In addition to our fundraising efforts of 100k to help rebuild and provide temporary housing, we have also reached out to private investors who will be purchasing more units for donations.

We look forward to your donations as we continue to help rebuild and restore our devistated community, here in Hays County.
