Mike's Bioness Fund

3 years ago, Mike Healey sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury caused by a fall and has had weakness and movement issues with his left side ever since. He is also now blind in his left eye. After several months of PT and OT, Mike has been able to get around with the use of a cane, but his balance, gait, and foot drag put him at an increased risk of fall, which tends to limit his confidence and mobility.

This past April, Mike was unexpectedly diagnosed with blood clots and a pulmonary embolism and has recently started taking blood thinners. This recent development makes it more important than ever that Mike does not have any more falls (and we all know how clumsy Mike is!).

There are also electrodes that need to be replaced monthly and a $500 annual maintenance warranty as well. We could use your help to make this just a little more affordable for us, since Mike is still on disability and we already have very high out of pocket medical expenses, especially recently where emergency room visits and hospitalization were involved.
