Dominican Republic Trip

Hello friends and family! Life has been so amazing lately. I am currently in the middle of my sophomore year at Texas Lutheran University. Since I have been here, the Lord has really grabbed ahold of my heart and I feel like he has been pulling me towards ministry! I changed my major to Theology and have been working towards eventually going to seminary one day to be a pastor.  The Lord has been faithful in his plan to me and has been continuing to bring me many opportunities to grow and experience Him with others. This past summer I had the amazing opportunity to intern with the youth group at my home church, The Fellowship Round Rock. This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I got to fellowship with the youth there by leading bible studies and living life with them! I built so many awesome friendships that were rooting in Christ while also learning all about ministry! Over the summer I also had the opportunity to go to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip. While we were there we worked with a ministry called Makarios (http://www.makariosinternational.org). This is a place where grades pre-k through 6th goes to school and it is a Christ-centered environment. While we were there we got to paint the Makarios building, do construction work around the campus, and also host a soccer camp for all the kids to come to! It was really awesome being able to see people from two completely different places of the world come together and experience Jesus' love with one another! God moved in crazy ways and revealed himself to us in such amazing ways! Overall, it was incredible and so amazing to be there with a lot of my friends. 

I now have another opportunity to return to the Dominican Republic from January 2-9, 2015 with a college group from The Fellowship. It would be great to be able to get to return and see a lot of the friends I made while I was there last time and worship the Lord together! I would like to ask if you could help our team by praying for us. I know the Lord is preparing our hearts to do his will for this trip as we speak. The price for the trip is $1,650. I know this is a lot, but God provides in the most unexpected ways! If there is any way you could financially support me, it would be greatly appreciated. Whether God leads you to give only a penny or simply a prayer, anything helps!
