Keep Hole Food Rescue Alive

Donation protected
My name is Ali Dunford and I am the executive director of Hole Food Rescue, a 100% volunteer non-profit organization that collects food from grocery stores, bakeries, and farms that would otherwise be thrown in the trash, solely becauseof its "sell-by" date. We deliver this food to the local homeless shelter, senior center, food bank and other local organizations helping those in need in Jackson, WY.

Since June 2013, we have delivered over 160,000 pounds of fresh fruit, bread, and vegetables. On average, we serve over 300 people each week. We pick up and deliver food by bicycle and, when the weather is bad, my car.

On Thursday, November 20, 2014, while my car was parked outside of, Bell Fitness gym, massive propane gas explosion  occurred. Luckily no one was killed or injured, but my car was burned to a crisp. This car was passed down to me when my grandfather, Robert Scott Creely passed away four years ago,  so I named the car “Robert.” This car has become much more than a vehicle - it became the main force behind Hole Food Rescue. Although I try to bike as much as possible, weather in Jackson Hole is harsh... Robert was always there to get the food where it needed to go.

In order to continue operations, I am now asking my family, friends, and fans to help me replace Robert, so that I may continue HFR's mission to end food waste and hunger in Jackson Hole.

With that being said, I would love for all of you to chip in $10, $25, or $50 to help replace Robert.

Thanks in advance for your generous support.

Happy Holidays,

Ali Dunford
