Home For The Holidays

As you all know, my family moved to Washington two years ago; what you may not know, is that we moved due to financial losses and to give ourselves an opportunity to start over.  We love it here for many reasons, but there truly is no place like home.  With help from family and friends we've been able to come back to TN during breaks from school and work, but with expenses as they are, we cannot afford to come home for the holidays.  The girls were so little when we lived there, they don't even remember Christmas in Tennessee.  Last year, instead of hugging my little mama, holding her tight and telling her Merry Christmas, we attempted to Facetime--we tried to smile and act happy, but each of us wept silently, trying to hide our tears from each other and the girls.  I watched my dad cry, and after hanging up, I sobbed like a child; it was my first Christmas away from home.  It breaks my heart into so many pieces to not be there everyday but especially for the holidays.  Please, if you can help in any way possible, I want to take my girls home for Christmas.  I know it's a stretch, everyone has to make ends meet this time of year, but an opportunity has arisen that would allow me to be home for two full weeks.  It would just be me and the girls, and I'm trying to raise money for our airfare and food.  This time together would allow us to be home not only for Christmas, but also to celebrate Abery's 4th birthday and the New Year, too.  I never thought I'd be in Washington trying to raise funds for my family to come home to Tennessee, but I believe things happen for a reason.  I believe it's possible, and I hope so hard, SO HARD! that you can help it come true.  Anything is everything.  Even sharing this link or some emotional support would mean the world to us.  Thank you to everyone for taking the time to read this, and my love to each of you this holiday season and always.
