My background begins with my personal journey to becoming a healthier individual. 1.5 years ago I had a number of health issues (Type II Diabetes, High BP, and Cholesterol) that needed addressed at the ripe age of 34…
Weight loss and getting Fit where at the top of my list for getting healthy.
I started off on my own by conditioning myself to compete in 6-5K’s in the summer of 2013.. That was getting me somewhere, but it was not until I started at a local gym working on more strength, toning and conditioning via the Strong Fit program that I started to see the real results. After a while, I began to build endurance, gain strength, gain confidence in myself and most importantly lose around 100lbs within about 8 months from the start of my journey. I also found a new sport “Strongman” that I really enjoy and to date have competed in over 10 competitions in the ILSA and NAS. Federations… One important lesson I have learned since I have begun this Journey is that I need to continue to evaluate my situation and evolve. I have since moved into more of a Crossfit program that has allowed me to achieve more success as a strength athlete and want to continue the road of being a Strongman Strength athlete. It is for this reason I am posting this campaign. I want to continue down this road of evolution and to do so I need to start purchasing some of my own equipment to allow me to me more flexible with my training and to help keep me engaged so that my health issues do not cause me real issues that could limit my options in life.. To build a home gym is a huge expense, but I also say you cannot really put a price on ones health or life and to is the most sound investment that I will have made in my entire life.
