Help me save my friend, Yoda

As many of you know we adopted a dog from the Chittenden County Humane Society back in March to replace our beloved Roxie. Yoda was one of the many animals seized from a horrible abuse situation in Eden, VT. Our autistic son Addison immediately bonded with Yoda. It's extremely tough for Addison to connect with anything, so we we're amazed how quickly they became friends. Addison & Yoda have become inseparable.
But within three days of bringing Yoda home, he became very ill with a kidney infection. The humane society had neutered him and we think the infection could have been caused by his terribly unsanitary conditions and being neutered. They graciously stepped up and covered the cost of all those vet bills, about $1500 of it!! However, Three days ago Yoda started with the same symptoms. We have accumulated over $1000.00 in bills again trying to keep him from dying. The Chittenden Humane Society can not keep helping cover the costs. They have told us that we can bring Yoda back so they can try to find a family that will pay for his expenses. But who is going to adapt a very sick & possibly dying dog?
We love this dog, he has connected with our son in a way that we've never seen. So we either have to take the thousands in debt or return him so they can give him to someone else!!!!!! We want to cover his bills and keep him in a home that loves him!!
We are hoping we can raise money to get him better and to be able to afford testing to find out why he's getting sick.
