Rebuild Baseri, Nepal

Donation protected
As many of you know on April 25th, 2015 a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. The Epicenter was near the village of Baseri, Dhading where my good friend's Manoj and Pradip as well as 1100 other families lived. Almost everything was destroyed. Manoj and his family survived but their home was ruined.

My name is Caleb Cooke and I met both Manoj and Pradip back in 2005 when I spent 5 months living in Nepal. Manoj and his cousin Pradip were originally the trekking guides for me and a few other volunteers I had met. We went on several treks in the Langtang, Annapurna, and Everest regions. They even took me and a friend to their village for a few days. It was a long dusty and bumpy 8 hour bus ride from Kathmandu followed by 4 hours of stairs. It was worth it. We were able to get away from all the touristy parts of the country and live like the majority of people in Nepal live; farming, carrying manure in baskets strapped to our heads, killing chickens to eat, harvesting rice. It was a great experience that I'll never forget.

I know that there was initially a lot of relief sent to Nepal following the earthquakes and many people, maybe a lot of you, donated to help the cause. Sadly I know from my experiences and time in Nepal that too much of those donations will never go to the people who actually need it. So I've set up this campaign as a way to give directly to the people in Nepal and help them rebuild in the long term one family at a time.

I am a photographer and my cousin had the idea for me to sell or auction my pictures of Nepal to raise money for relief in Nepal which I loved. The problem I saw with that is too much of the money would go towards printing and shipping (15-20% plus a subscription fee) so instead I created this campaign so that all the funds donated will go to Manoj and Pradip so they can rebuild their homes and if you want to buy a print at cost you can.

If interested, anyone who donates will receive access to purchase prints of their choosing of any of the photos shown here: http://calebcooke.smugmug.com/Nepal-Relief/

These prints are offered at cost, what it costs to print, with no markup or extra fees that way as much money as possible goes towards helping my friends in Nepal. As soon as you donate I will send you a thank you note with the link and password to purchase prints. Your donation on gofundme does not include prints, that is extra but I am offering them at cost. You don't have to purchase a print if you don't want to, I've just had a lot of people ask about my prints in the past so this is their chance.

Thank you for your help!
