Help Me Join Actors Equity!

Hey Everyone! Guess What I am eligible to join Actor's Equity Association. I was cast in a Center Theater Group piece which was an equity contract and I was invited to join right away plus I am in the sister union SAG/AFTRA. Equity wants $400 up front to receive your membership they give you a while to pay the remainder $1000 + to finish the initiation fee, which I dont have BUT YOU COULD HELP. No donation is too small! $400 till Equity membership! Deciding to be an actress for a living (which I decided when I was 5) is no easy task but I thank my mother and family for supporting me and encouraging me to stick with my purpose and never give up. Equity along with SAG/AFTRA are important to an actor because they are unions who support us. When you are not a member of Equity, it is hard to get seen to even audition for work. Equity also has benefits (higher wages, medical (which is big since I dont have medical and I am type 1 diabetic), credit union, discounts, 401K, etc.). I feel that I am ready in my career to join and the only thing holding me back at this point is money. If I happen to exceed the $400 I am trying to raise, the rest of the donations will go to The American Diabetes Association, I have type 1 diabetes and every effort to find a cure is important.
