Lefty needs your help!

After 20 years of community service, a local business owner and community pillar, Harold "Lefty" Encarnacion, has been forced to close his grocery store due to serious  health complications. His store, Millie's International Market, located in Columbus, GA, which served the  needs of the vibrant Latino and Caribbean community of Columbus, is recognized by many as the backbone of the community. Lefty and his wife, Millie, have also served the community through cultural organizations, such as the Tri-City Latino Festival, and many people have been personally blessed by their generosity. While the store will certainly be missed by the residents of Columbus, people have expressed a more pressing concern for Lefty's well-being. Unfortunately, worried customers and friends have found no comfort in the news of Lefty's worsening condition, and many people are deeply disturbed by the accounts of the pain and suffering of someone who has given so much to everyone in the community. Recently, Lefty has been told by his doctors that he is in need of a liver transplant. This is an extremely expensive procedure, and is an unrealistic cost, especially coupled with personal financial difficulties. We are, therefore, reaching out to the community to help ameliorate his current economic situation, and help fund this life-saving procedure. Lefty has given so much to the community, and we are hoping that those who can give will reciprocate, and help him, just as he would have aided anyone else in need. We know that this is a large goal, but we believe in the strength and kindness of our community. Even if you can only afford to give a little, a small donation given by many people can make a huge difference--possibly the difference between life and death. Thank you!
