Help Kaelyn Thompson & Family!

When Kaelyn Thompson was 19 months old, she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, an autosomal recessive genetic disorder that affects most critically the lungs and also the pancreas, liver, and intestines. Despite the obstacles Kaelyn has gone through living with CF, she has amazingly fought through each one with courage that is nothing short of admirable. Living life like a normal child, teenager, and now young adult is incredibly difficult for somebody with CF...but Kaelyn has truly shown her strength throughout the years by never letting it slow her down or keep her from going after her dreams.

Last week, Kaelyn and her family learned that she will need a double lung transplant as soon as possible, as her condition has quickly worsened. They will be transporting her from Integris to a hospital in North Carolina to treat her while she waits for a compatible donor, and then will undergo the transplant there. This will be a very long process and Kaelyn and her family have a very long and difficult road ahead. Kaelyn also has a younger brother in high school, who will remain in Oklahoma to attend school during Kaelyn's journey. We are collecting donations to help her family with all of the expenses they will be faced with that insurance will not cover, as they will have to commute back and forth throughout the process. Donations and prayers of any kind for Kaeyln and her family are truly appreciated during this difficult time.
