Opening The Door To A Dream

This feels crazy, and asking is hard, but I could really use your help. 

As many of you know the last 2 years turned many things upside down for my life partner and I. Working at putting ourselves right side up again has required resilience and we've been pretty good at it until recently. Sometimes the cumulative effect of events just gets you to a sticking point. We (and specifically I) have hit that point. I need financial help to get this next part of our lives in motion. 

We've been working at starting a new business since November. The lease was signed December 1st. Our budget supported the business plan and basic home needs but didn't leave much of a cushion. We knew it was risky but at 55 years old I felt like it was now or never. We've done most of the prep work for the space ourselves (painting, staining, thrift store shopping, house furniture robbing :). It's been a great process and we're totally looking forward to providing the magic of 'Pairings Wine Shop' with it's retail space, wine bar & classes to our local community, but city regulations and unforseen 'adventures in plumbing' have led to our doors not being able to open and a $5000 bill that we need to cover to officially open & get going as a viable business. 

I'm a big believer in good will and community and you have ours whether you are able to help or not.  Megan & I just want to be able to really re-start our lives together involved in our new home as active and full members. If you can spare the money to help get my dream going your dollars will go to bring alive what will be a fun addition to our new home town and support our getting to work & share a deep rooted love & passion. It's a big bill but every little bit helps.
