Help Diva Go to School

My name is Megan and I am raising funds on behalf of Diva, a sweet girl I came to know well during the 2 years I worked in Indonesia.

I ask for your donation to help with the expenses related to Diva's school. Diva is a bright and active 5-year old (almost 6) with an infectious smile. Already she has picked up a few words of English and enjoys going to school.

Diva lives in Pematang Siantar, North Sumatra, Indonesia with her great-aunt. Diva's parents divorced and abandonded her, therefore she is under the care of her great-aunt, Tiorman, who will retire in December 2014. Tiorman has faithfully served as a deaconess (servant minister) in the Batak Protestant church in Indonesia, and her retirement pension will not enough to cover the school fees and costs for clothes to raise Diva in the months and years to come.

Diva's school fee presently is $50/month and about $50 per semester for clothes as she continues to grow. I ask for $700 to give for them for 2015.

I will directly give the money and a school backpack with supplies to Diva in Indonesia, as I will visit in late December 2014.
