Cat Shelter Urgently Needs Building

Unfortunately, we have a very serious situation here at Ce-Ce and Friends Humane Society. From our Executive Director, Peggy:

"...WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Our 28 cats currently in care face homelessness as our shelter has received an eviction notice. Due to development changes on the Weymouth, Mass. Naval Air Base, where our shelter resides, we are being asked to move out later this fall."

WHAT WE NEED NOW:

-A rental (or donated!) building large enough to house our 28 cats (cage-free). We are hoping to stay in the Weymouth/Quincy/Abington area, as our small group of volunteers who take care of all of our cats' daily needs are all based there.

-We greatly appreciate the offers of emergency foster care we have received. Because so many of our cats are older, very timid, or have other special needs...and because they are so closely bonded to each other...our hope is to move all of the cats together to minimize the stress and disruption they will experience.

Ce-Ce and Friends is an 100% volunteer-run, no-kill, cage-free, 501(c)(3) cat shelter on the South Shore of Massachusetts. We have been in operation for more than 15 years.


Due to planned development changes to the property where our current shelter resides, we are being forced to find a new building to house our feline residents. Most of the cats that reside at our shelter are elderly, very shy, or have other special needs, and will likely call Ce-Ce's their home for life.
