Help Beth March Blue Devils 2014

A drum and bugle corps, also known as a drum corps, is a musical marching unit (similar to a marching band) consisting of brass instruments, percussion instruments and color guard.


When I was a freshman in high school, I stumbled across color guard, and it has since grown into my biggest passion. Over the years, I have completed eight seasons of color guard and winter guard with my old high school, and three seasons of drum corps, and I am currently midseason with the Santa Clara Vanguard Winterguard. I was fortunate enough to be offered a spot with the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets in 2011, and Blue Devils B for 2012 and 2013. I remember watching my first ever drum corps show in 2011, and being blown away by the Blue Devils, falling in love with their style, and wishing I would be able to perform with them someday. This year, my dream has finally come true, and I have been offered the chance to be a Blue Devil for the 2014 season.


This is an incredible opportunity for me, but I have to come to terms with the reality that drum corps is expensive. This summer alone will most likely wind up costing around $3,000. My parents have been generous enough to cover my tour fees for the past three years, but due to the increase in cost between open class and world class, I am trying to do everything I can to help. This is where all of my wonderful friends (that means you, you beautiful/handsome/smart/funny/wonderful person reading this) come into the situation. Anything you could spare to help me live my dream would mean the world to me. Every dollar helps this become a reality. Thank you!
