New World Sanctuary Foundation's mission is to advance the healing of the planet through a model of sanctuary that embraces the power of unconditional love, including equality for all living beings.

Founded by Ren Hurst, after experiencing a complete paradigm shift in regards to our relationship to animals, but more importantly to how we as individuals have come to understand love, Ren wanted to create an animal sanctuary that would double as a practice center for learning how to bring love in action into every area of people’s lives.

Our relationship to the animals is our practice towards becoming fully authentic, loving human beings. The work we do here is not for those still interested in using animals. We are here for those interested in moving away from dysfunctional, attached relationships and stepping into their own individual power.

We use a healing method of relationship that brings domesticated animals out of a deeply conditioned state (learned helplessness) and into one of mental freedom. This method transcends species and can be applied to any relationship you experience. It is challenging work that leads to absolute freedom and to the realization that our likenesses far outweigh our differences from one another.

Our staff does the healing work for the animals, and our healed animals offer an opportunity for visitors to heal themselves through guided interactions. 

Right now we are working with horses, dogs, goats and cats.
