Help Support The James Family

If you know Greg James, you know just how lucky you are.  Greg is one of the most kind, funny, generous, and caring people you can find.  To say that this past year has been a struggle for him would be an understatement.  Greg's health has been in turmoil since September of last year.  He was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, bone spurs on his spine, and ruptured disks.  Recently, he was hospitalized with sepsis which wreaked havoc on his body.  Last week he was again hospitalized and had to have emergency surgery to assist in his healing.  The doctors advised Greg and Aimee today that he has tested positive with two very severe bacterial infections that are difficult to treat.  He will be transferred to a Rehabilitation Facility where he will continue to receive IV antibiotics for the next three weeks.  He will receive Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy while there to help him get his strength back as his body continues to fight off the infections.  


Although they have insurance which is covering the majority of the cost for his care, it doesn't cover everything.  That is where I am asking for your help.  I have known Greg and Aimee for years and know (as you all do too) that they are the  last people to ask for help.  Its usually them that are reaching out to help others.  It was with reluctance that they agreed to let me begin this campaign.  


The funds being requested will be used to help pay the copays for Greg's hospital stays (6 so far), specialist visits, copays for medications, medical equipment, and to have some architectural modifications completed (hand rails in the bathroom shower and wall, ramp into the door from the garage.)  The other large expenses that they are preparing for are the two surgeries that Greg still requires.  There is no clear date for either at this time, but we know that they are coming down the pike.
