Hi there,
Recently there has been a terrible accident in my household. My cat--my baby and the one thing in this world I love the most--has suffered a horrible fate. Somehow, despite all of our cautions, our dogs managed to mangle her front legs from under a door. This was never supposed to happen because our house is set up to prevent even the slightest contact between dog and cat. We've been extremely cautious to make sure every animal was happy and healthy. Somehow, one door broke, and my cat's front legs were ripped apart. I found her in shock on my floor. One leg was gone from the forearm down. The other was ripped to shreds. I panicked and got her to the vet ASAP, hyperventilating and holding back tears the entire way.
As they put her on pain meds, I shut down. This cat is my therapy cat. She has gotten me through the hardest times in my life and is the only reason I'm alive today. And now I need to help her. Both legs were beyond repair. She needed them both amputated at the shoulders. She only has her back legs to support her and we will be working together, she and I, to figure out how to adapt to her new life.
There is one major problem, however: vet bills. The prices are stacking and we are very low on money. I am a poor college student and my mother has to support herself, the household, and some of my needs. I'm not exactly sure how much these vet bills will total out to be, but it is in the thousands. I need your help. I need help financially to get my baby back to a healthy and happy life. I need help to pay the amazing surgeons and vet techs who are all spending extra time and resources to save my baby's life.
Please help my baby. Please help Rika. The slightest bit helps. I will be able to provide a breakdown of vet bills and proof of where the money is going. I just need my baby to live, so I can live, too.
