Heelin' For Research

This event is the work of a group of friends that wanted to get college students at UNC involved in supporting a great cause! Reelin’ for Research is an annual fishing tournament that benefits the N.C. Children’s Promise initiative at the North Carolina Children’s Hospital. 100% of all funds raised by Reelin' for Research go towards the treatment of pediatric cancer patients! The tournament is held the first weekend in May in memory of Greensboro, NC native Tony Montana, who passed away from cancer in 2005. In the past six years, Reelin' for Research has raised over 1 million dollars to directly support pediatric oncology research!

Our event, "Heelin' for Research," will be held on April 25 at He's Not Here in Chapel Hill. The event is in memory of my brother, Dylan Price, who passed away in October of 2013 due to complications he encountered from battling AML Leukemia.

"Heelin' for Research," will raise money  from entrance fees to the event that will benefit Reelin' for Research's 2015 initiative! We hope to raise at least $1,000 to cover the cost of putting on the event including food and music. All money raised beyond our costs will be given as a part of our donation to Reelin' for Research.
