There's No place like Home...

The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head  (Matthew 8:20), and neither does this
man.

The man in this picture is just one of the 578,424 people across the United  States who had no place to lay his head this time last year. 

As you can see, homelessness dates as far back as the  biblical days and is steadily on the rise.  Deuteronomy 15:11 says that "there will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites (man) who are poor and needy in your land".

Although this verse was written  way back in the day, it still applies to the people of God in this day.  Especially to  those of us who must be about our Father's business.

So if you must be about your Father's business then we at Healing Stream Ministries strongly encourage you to go fund this never-ending cause for Homelessness!!!

Healing Stream Ministries  kicks off the 4th Annual Healing the Homeless Drive on September 1, 2015.  As in previous years our desire is to provide the homeless with duffel bags filled with essential items to help meet their personal needs while living on the street.

Duffel bags cost the ministry about $40.00 each and the goal this year is to serve 250 homeless people in the land.  So please open your hand as well as your heart and donate what you can by November 19, 2015.

Duffel bags are scheduled to be distributed during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week in November.
