Bring My Mom Home

Hello Everyone! My parents have been missionaries overseas in Papua New Guinea for the past 20 years. While they know they are following God's call on their lives, being a missionary requires significant sacrifices, usually in the area of family life. My parents are only able to come back to America for one year every four years. While my family misses their presence, this is usually not a problem. This time is different, though. My Grandma, my Mom's mother, is beginning to fade quickly, and we think that she may not have much time left on this earth. Personal relationships are of the utmost importance to my Grandma, and she spends hours each day talking on the phone to friends and family. She lives alone in a nursing home, and this is her way of outreach. My Grandma LIVES for phone calls from my mother overseas; they are the highlight of her week. My parents will not be able to come home for another year and a half, but it is possible that Jesus will have called my Grandma home by then. I know that if my mother and my Grandma could have anything in the world, it would be to see each other face to face one last time. Both have served the Lord their entire lives, and have made huge sacrifices to do so. My Grandma has given up her daughter for 20 years, and my mother has given up her mother for 20 years. Plane tickets to America are expensive, costing around $4000 for a round trip ticket, and travel expenses only add more onto that. A lack of money WILL keep my mother from being able to come see her mother one last time, and that is why I have started this page. If you have any money at all to give, please consider doing so. Every cent helps. My mother has sacrificed so much in her life to be a missionary; help her not have to sacrifice seeing her mother one last time too. Thank you for your consideration; God bless!
