Terry Jones Medical Fund

Many of you have already provided meals for Terry Jones during her recovery time at home from surgery for stage II breast cancer. The family has been overwhelmed by the love and support of their neighbors during this difficult time. Terry recently visited her doctor’s office where she was informed that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes. This moves her cancer level to stage III and she will now need to undergo chemotherapy and yet another surgery. Despite the diagnosis, Terry has remained positive and still has a smile for everyone she greets.

However, with continued medical needs and current bills piling up from her previous surgery, the family is in need of some financial help. The Jones family has lived in this neighborhood on Maxwell St. for many years. Robert and their son, Tavis, may have done yard work for you, and their daughter, Breanna, may have babysat for you. Terry has welcomed every new neighbor she meets as family. Her outgoing personality and contagious laugh has made a quick friend of everyone she meets. Despite the trend of increased taxes and cost of living in Decatur, the Jones family has continued to reside in Decatur and raise their children here. Robert works two jobs to make ends meet and Breanna also works several jobs while attending college and is currently living at home to help her mom when she is not working or in class. If you know the family, please consider returning the love Terry has shown by contributing anything you can and spreading the word about our friend and neighbor who could use a little help right now.  Thanks!
