A New Home For HVDD

Donation protected
Keep roller derby alive!

For 4 years, Happy Valley Derby Darlins has provided an opportunity for local women to become incredible skaters, athletes, and leaders. It’s one of the few places in our community where adult women are welcomed—not just tolerated—while learning a new sport. By donating to this campaign, you can help keep roller derby alive in Utah County. A new venue will allow us to continue inspiring and delighting audiences for years to come.

Why do we need a new home?

Since 2012, our home has been The Hive, a.k.a. the old Food 4 Less building in Spanish Fork. Week after week, we play our hearts out in that dusty old warehouse. But we recently learned that it’s scheduled for demolition in mid-January. That’s okay—we knew this day would come. It’s why we’ve been searching for a new practice space for over a year. And we have several promising leads! The problem is our budget. The owners of our current building, The Hive, were generous enough to charge us below-market prices on rent, and we became accustomed to that rate. Right now, we need a little more cash in order to finalize the lease on a new home.

How can you help?

Please donate to this campaign! We have plenty of leads and our dedicated league members have already planned out the 2015 season. Our future as a league depends on this. If you’re on the fence about donating, know that we will be forever grateful for the help—and that your donations are 100% tax-deductible. Tis the season to support HVDD!
