Happy Hills Animal Foundation, Inc. is a 501(3)c nonprofit licensed animal shelter located in Staley, NC. Happy Hills Animal Foundation is currently one of only two state licensed shelter facilities located in Randolph County, NC. The other shelter is operated by the county. Although many great strides have recently been made to improve the adoption programs at the county animal control facility, the county shelter still remains over crowded with a greater than 85 percent euthanasia rate.
Happy Hills was “born” 33 years ago out of a dream for a better option for these helpless and homeless animals. Originally Happy Hills served the local area. Through the years the foundation has reached out statewide and with internet technology nationwide.
Our mission is and has always been to furnish meals, safe shelter, veterinary care and love for the abandoned and abused animals that we shelter. We will find responsible loving homes for as many of these animals as possible. Through humane education and special programs for children we will reduce the number of abused and abandoned animals in our community. Through spay/neuter education and by altering all the animals that we adopt out, we will reduce the number of unwanted animals born in our community.
There are many times when helpless animals need us to respond IMMEDIATELY - and when they do - we need to have funds in place to quickly respond to rescue them from harm.
Happy Hills Animal Foundation, Inc. does not receive any funding from state or local agencies, but operates on private donations. In order to meet the needs of the growing community and its homeless animal population, we are reaching out today.
