The reality is that no one likes bad news.  But when the bad news pertains to a child, it is especially hard to receive.  On Friday afternoon (February 15), I received a "bad news" text from my friend Sue Crince about her youngest child, Haley:

“They believe that it is not pneumonia, they believe it is worse. We need to go downtown Chicago by ambulance to Lurie Children's Hospital.”

After many tests and procedures at Lurie Children's Hospital, the family received the next set of bad news. Haley has stage 2, class B non-Hodgkin lymphoma.  Over the next six-months, Haley will need to go through six five-day treatments of chemotherapy at one of the world's top-ranked children's hospitals. So, even though the prognosis is very positive, it will be a very long journey for her.

As her friends and family, we are raising some much-needed funds to support Haley's cancer journey and we are inviting YOU to join us in showing love and support during one of the hardest times in her life.  In addition to financial support, we are asking that you support her with your frequent and much-coveted prayers.

How much love are you willing to show Haley? Let's be lavish in showing our love!
