Kerri's Habitat Philippines Trip

I am excited to be participating in the Philippines Habitat for Humanity Global Village trip coming up on April 24th.
In 2013, the Philippines had so many typhoons that it ran out of letters to name them. Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines on November 8, 2013, leaving more than 6300 people dead. Nearly 2000 people are still listed as missing in 2015. Many of those affected still do not have homes.
This past summer on a local Habitat for Humanity build I was reminded of the positive effect Habitat for Humanity has on not only those families getting their first house- but on the volunteers involved in the project. It transforms everyone involved as well as the community they are working in.
If this cause resonates with you as much as it does with me, your support would be very much appreciated! Your donation would go towards building materials, tools and supplies, team transportation to/from the worksite, insurance, an on-site Coordinator/translator and trip costs.
I am looking forward to April, to meeting, talking and sharing the stories of the families whose homes we will help them build and those already helped by Habitat for Humanity. Thank you for considering this cause!
