Angela grew up in Atlanta along with her two brothers and one sister. Some of her fondest childhood memories included summers at her family’s lake house, and all of the adventures (and shenanigans) that came with life at the lake. As an avid tennis player her whole life, Angela was a natural athlete, and a natural beauty to boot.
Angela met the love of her life, Blake, while attending the University of Georgia. They were married in Atlanta on May, 16th 2009. Their first child, Ava, was born on February 22nd, 2012. Ava, who is now almost three, is all girl, and the princess of the family. On October 23rd 2014, Angela and Blake welcomed their second child, Mason, into the world. Mason is a healthy and joyful baby. He’s happily adjusted to life at home, and is already a huge Dawgs fan (he takes after his daddy).
While in the hospital welcoming Mason, what they thought was a bad case of bronchitis, turned into something no one could have suspected. After initial testing, cancerous cells were discovered in a mass near Angela’s lung. Angela was diagnosed on November 12th, 2014, with a rare form of lung cancer called ALK Translocation.
After four short months, and a hell of a fight, Angela’s body succumbed to the damage the cancer had caused. Angela passed away on February 17th, 2015.
Please help us in our efforts to ease the financial burden that Angela’s husband, Blake, will undoubtedly face. Your generosity and love for this family is incredibly appreciated.
