In 2015, Jen and Justin moved to Pamplona, Spain to teach English as a Second Language.
Famous for the Running of the Bulls, Pamplona was home to Ernest Hemingway when he wrote The Sun Also Rises. The run is very dangerous and controversial.
But you all know Jen. That Taurus is stubborn as a bull. When she decided that she could not live in Spain without running, the question didn't become if or when she was going to run, but how to make her run a unique experience. They struggled to come with an idea that would set her run apart from the thousands of tourists who visit the city to participate in this tradition.
And they hit the nail on the head.
In 2016, Jen will run with the bulls for a cause. They are collecting donations from sponsors to provide aide to the citizens of Kathmandu, Nepal.
This September, Jen and Justin will be leaving Spain and traveling to Nepal to begin volunteering at a Buddhist Monastery to also teach ESL. Because it is volunteer, they won't be earning an income; however, will still require basic necessities: soap, water, and even toilet paper.
They are asking for sponsors to contribute to Jen's Run with the Bulls this coming July during Pamplona's Festival of San Fermines. For a small donation, you can help them to help the people of Nepal in more ways than one.
In addition to their volunteer work at the monastery, 100% of the funds raised - above their immediate goal - will be donated to Oxfam (get it, Ox? Bull? get it?) earmarked for the 2015 Nepal Earthquake Relief.
