Hi folks!
After many years of being hosted by a very, very kind friend of mine, this friend of mine is unable to host GoodChatting.com's IRC server any longer. The server has been shut down.
Luckily, thanks to my friend being awesome, we were able to retrieve all the databases and files we need to set up shop somewhere else. All your channels and nicknames are safely sitting on my computer.
Of course, they're kind of useless while sitting on my computer...
So here's what we need: $425 CAD to ensure a full year of hosting for GoodChatting.com's IRC server (including GoFundMe and PayPal administrative fees). That means uninterrupted chatting throughout July's Novel Writing Month, National Novel Writing Month and ScriptFrenzy, complete with BattleJesus support, plus a good chatting experience year-round.
Please consider a donation if you've ever participated in a Word War, if you've ever been stuck and someone in chat has helped you out, if you've ever made friends at GoodChatting or if you (like me) credit the various NaNo chatrooms with having helped you finished your NaNoWriMo novels.
As soon as we get even $50 donated, we'll be able to get the hosting space and get the server back up, so the sooner that happens, the sooner we'll get back to chatting together. :)
