Joe's Mission to Help The Homeless

Meet Joe. He is 9 Years old and he has Mission. Here is his story unfolding. 
Two weeks ago,  Joe came up to me and said "Mom, I want to do something. But I need some help." Me: What do you need help with? (Thinking it was either doing his homework or building some sort of ramp that would wind us up in an urgent care...) Joe:"I want to help the HOMELESS." (PROUD MOMMY MOMENT) This is something I knew my son took a passion in. When Joe has money on him and we are are in a store, instead of buying candy or something else rewarding for himself, he drops it in the donation jar. He doesn't know we've watched him do this. Here is what happened next.  Me: "Okay. I will help you do this, but you are in charge and need to spearhead this entire project. You are running the show."

One week later, I received and email from his teacher. She stated that Joe had address her in class about what he is wanting to do, he told them "I want to help the homeless."He asked that instead of having a traditional Valentine's Day Party,  they have a Love our community party and feed the homeless. Instead of trading candy and cards-donate a canned food, old clothing item or a pair of old shoes. Joe's teacher then gave him an assignment. Go home and research homeless shelters that house children. The picture above is my son. Doing just that. Joe's goal: Feed and Clothe the young homeless kids.
Today, my son has given us a list of requests he would like us to help him with. (1) Have a donation party. (2) Ask Mom's facebook friends for help. (3)Contact  homeless Shelters (4) Email his principal and ask her if she will help. (He was nervous about that) His hope is to get the entire school involved. (5) Feed the homeless. 
This is my son. If he can do this at age 9, WE CAN DO THIS. Please help support our son in his Mission to change the World.
