Gladstone Officer Sherman Fund

We have always known that Brandon didn't just choose to be a police officer, but it was his calling to serve the community.

Officer Sherman, fills so many shoes, husband, father, son, son-in-law, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin,  coworker,  and friend.

I can imagine like every work night, as Brandon walked out the door in the evening, four voices rang out, my daughter(his wife), with a kiss and an I love you, his oldest daughter with a, Love you dad, the middle energetic brother, love you dad, and the little two year old, wov you daddy.  I know this because I've heard it many times.  

My daughter had just put two little boys down for the evening as her and our granddaughter also began to get ready for bed.  The call that no one wants to receive came. The voice on the other end probably said many things, but the only sentence that echoed was, your husband has been involved in a shooting...

The prayers from our community and our Country, for all those that accept this as their service to our Great Country have been appreciated and felt. We value so deeply what unites us.  As their family begins to rehabilitate not only physically, but in spirit as well, please continue to pray for them.

As those in the field understand the choice to become an officer is not determined by the income you recieve. Most depend on overtime and security details beyond their regular pay to make ends meet. With a road of rehabilitation ahead of him this will not be an option. I ask that if you are blessed, pass the blessing.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
