U10 SJ Warriors Keeping Kids Safe

The South Jersey Warriors are on a mission to prevent sudden death in the young athletes that play at the Locke Ave Park.

What is Commotio Cordis (CC)? “Commotion of the Heart. It is the second leading cause of sudden death in young athletes.
It involves young, mostly male athletes in whom a sudden, blunt, non-penetrating trauma to the anterior chest results in immediate cardiac arrest and sudden death from ventricular fibrillation (VF) where the electrical system of the heart malfunctions leading to uncoordinated contraction of the cardiac muscles.

ALL studies show that the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator) saves lives in these sports related injuries.

The U10 South Jersey Warriors are on a mission to ensure the safety of the children at Locke Ave Park.  We are purchasing a few AED’s to be used by all of the teams: baseball, soccer, football, softball practicing and playing at any of the fields at Locke Ave Park.
