Alex's Christmas Wish

I have three very special children who love Christmas, and especially Christmas lights. All three of my children happen to have been born prematurely and have been diagnosed with autism, as well as other medical issues. I have done a lot of work over the past 13 years for my kids and always try to do something special at Christmas.
My oldest son, Alex, is 13. He isn't into the typical Christmas gifts and this poses a particular challenge for those of us who are trying to buy for him. Alex is obsessed with Christmas lights. He dreams of having a house covered in lights, with music playing, so that all the neighbors can drive by and feel the Christmas spirit. I too love lights, so this is something we can share together, which is special to me. I located something on Craigslist, a light controller, that would allow us to set up a fantastic light display. It is $500, and that is just too much out of the budget for one child's present, especially this year with the medical expenses we've incurred. I would love to get this for my son so we can have years of Christmas's to enjoy and build our fantastic display. I could also see how this skill could translate into something that he could use in the marketplace, as a sound and light technician. People on the autism spectrum tend to be very visual, so this passion is right up my son's alley!
If you have a little extra to give, I know my son and I would treasure this forever. I set the amount for just the $500, but there would be additional lights to purchase, so if anyone wanted to give more to help with that, it would be awesome, but not necessary.
