Elle, Alex and I will be shaving our heads on the 11th of November at the Oriental in Mudgee, NSW to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Elle and her family have had an extremely tough year, this is a small look into what they have been going through -
"I am taking part in the UGLY bartender fundraiser in aid of my father who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in March this year. Since then our lives have been turned upside down. With a Bone marrow transplant ahead of us over the Christmas period I feel like I am helpless in this time of great need. The only thing I feel I can do to make a difference is to raise as much money as possible for the Leukaemia Foundation, who have been a wonderful help for my mum and dad in this trying time.
The community of Mudgee have always been very supportive of me and my family. This is shown with Des and Emma Kennedy at the Oriental, putting forward their space on the 11th of November for Maddi and I to shave our heads. Alanah and her employees at the Cheveux Hairdressershave put themselves forward to 'do the deed' and we could not be more thankful for this support!"
