Educational Trip To Cuba

Dear GFM,Hoping this message reaches you all in good faith. My name is DeMarcus Crawford Jr. and I'm a 16 year old Sophomore. I'm a straight A student and member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Growing up in a low-income area, I've tried my best to excel at everything I do to build for a better future. Myself, along with a few fellow classmates, have been selected to visit Cuba in June 2015. Although I was ecstatic to have been chosen, realistically, it's not a trip my family can afford on the income. I've been seeking employment and other fundraising alternatives to no avail. Even with these efforts and any subsequent ones, I'm afraid that I won't raise the money in time and this is an opportunity of a lifetime! No words can express the gratitude and appreciation I would have to take this trip, as it aligns with prospective goals in my pursuit of a career in Computer Engineering and Travel.
