GAZA-Urgent Life Saving Supply Campaign

Tax deductible
Due to the ongoing Israeli offensive, 290 homes have been completely destroyed, and 9000 have been partially destroyed, in which 260 are not fit for living. 2 Masjids have been destroyed as targets of Israeli war planes. Fears of an imminent Israeli operation are on the rise: an estimated 300,000 people in areas around the Gaza border have been warned to evacuate their homes. The people of Gaza are in desperate need for necessities such as medicine, beds, food, water, and shelter.

Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, 165 Palestinians have been killed (41 children, 5 with disabilities, 23 women, 15 elderly men), and more than 1084 have been wounded (including women and children). Hospitals, clinics and medical staff are overwhelmed by the sudden influx of patients.

On account of the closing of Gaza's borders, these hospitals and clinics have faced a shortage of essential drugs such as antibiotics to treat those in need. Gaza's Health Ministry spokesman, Ashraf al-Qedra, told Al Jazeera that Gaza is missing 30% of key medicines and is rapidly using those left in stock.

The lack of antibiotics in particular puts those who have been wounded and are receiving lifesaving surgery at high risk for postoperative infections. Therefore, the Zakat Foundation of America (ZF) is sending antibiotics for post-surgical use in Gaza to meet the urgent needs of the wounded.
