Help Gail's Pets Second Chance

Donation protected
Gail’s Pets Second Chance, a 501(c)(3) organization, exists solely to provide a haven for abandoned, unwanted, or abused pets while they await forever homes.

From the hands-on interaction provided by our all-volunteer crew, to the medical services rendered by our veterinarian, Dr. James Snodgrass, and his staff, our collective goal is to provide compassionate care to these animals in need.  We cannot thank him enough for all that he does for our animals.  He is truly a dog's best friend!

In 2014 we took in 112 puppies/dogs and adopted out 120 to loving homes here in the Ozarks in addition to many states in the northeast.  To date in 2015 we have taken in 85 dogs and adopted out 70+.  We have several "senior" dogs that will most likely spend the remainder of their years at the shelter.

It is very costly to thoroughly vet new dogs, especially puppies.   Dogs are only able to be adopted after they have received all required immunizations and be spayed/neutered.   Again we thank our wonderful vet, Dr. James Snodgrass for all he does for us.

Donations will help not only with our vet bills, but also with the building of our new Shampoo Shed.  We recently purchased a 12'x16' shed that will serve as a washing and grooming station for all of our dogs.  We do need to purchase a water heater, air conditioner, plumbing and electrical, washtub, etc. in order to get the Shampoo Shed fully functional.  This shed will greatly benefit not only the animals, but the volunteers as they bathe the dogs.  Currently all dogs are bathed before going to their new families.  We would like to have the ability to regularly bathe all of the dogs at the shelter, as well as clip their nails and wash their ears!

We also have several dogs who are disabled and are not adoptable.  This is Pi, who is a senior dog who lost the use of her back legs.  This is one reason why we do what we do.

We are truly thankful for any donation you can provide as it will go directly to helping take care of the dogs that call Gail's Pets Second Chance home whether it be temporary or permanent.
