Jennifer's Motherhood Dream

After a year of trying to start a family, unsuccessfully, my husband Mike and I made an appointment with a fertility specialist.

One and a half years later after many treatments, tests, drugs and several IUI cycles, we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility.  So we started IVF.  Two cycles failed and the third was a success.  We were pregnant and completely overjoyed! 

Happiness was short lived because a blood test revealed the suspicion of a chromosome deletion, further testing confirmed that deletion and the baby would be born with a severe syndrome.  We were advised that miscarriage is very common in this situation and needless to say we did miscarry shortly after. 

During the IVF cycle several embryos were frozen and we can try again.

Before this next procedure me, my husband and the embryos must be tested to detect any chromosome disorganization.  This will avoid any further complications and heartbreak. 

The past procedures have cost approximately $60,000 and have left us with financial problems.  We don’t have the money to continue and insurance has covered nothing that had been done or needs to be done.  The new testing is $7,000 and the embryo transfer is approximately $3,000.
