In Loving Memory of Catherine

It's impossible to sum up a person's life, their wonder, and their joy in so few words.

My mother, Catherine Clokey, could not be summarized by a few paragraphs. She was too wonderful, too kind, and too loving, and when she loved, it was with every ounce of her soul.

She loved to sew and scrapbook. She was a photography fanatic. She had three cats that she babied and fussed over as if they were her children too.


But she was also very sick.

Catherine had severe depression and other mental illnesses that lurked beneath her loving heart. Eventually, her body couldn't keep up with the illnesses and medications and she passed in the night on October 21st, 2014.

She was sick. She could barely afford her medications, much less living expenses. Her parents cared for her, but they are both retired and aging. As such, Catherine had no financial plan in the event of her death.

We are struck by grief. Not only did my two siblings, my grandparents, and I lose Catherine, but now we have no financial way to properly put her to rest.

Please help

My mother was a kind, warm woman, and she deserves to have a service and, if possible, burial.

When we contacted mortuaries in the area, they quoted us at $2,000 for a cremation, and $5,000 for a burial. My siblings and I would also like to commission pendants with my mother's fingerprint. They are $199 a piece, and we were hoping to get one for each of us and one for my grandparents.

We would like to bury Catherine because she deserves it. If burial ends up exceeding our financial expectations, then we will settle for cremation.
