Suttons Bay Herman Park Recreation
Detraibile fiscalmente
"Friends of Herman Park, Inc" was created to help raise funds for accessible active and passive recreation at Herman Park in Suttons Bay Township.
In the past nine years the township constructed tennis courts, soccer fields, an 18 hole disc golf course, pickle ball courts, kids fishing dock and a paved walking trail.
All these improvements were completed with matching grants as well as contributions from generous individuals.
As the township is focused on construction of a new covered pavilion. The $160,000 pavilion is funded with matching funds from the Township, the Michigan Natural Resource Trust Fund and many donors through the Community Foundation.
The township has a very small revenue stream and as a result "Friends of Herman Park" is reaching out to the general public for additional funds that will make this pavilion complete.
The additional funds will provide accessible picnic tables, benches, solar powered security lighting and recycling containers.
