The Kristin Took-a-Tumble Fund

In case you didn't already know, I took a bit of a (very embarrassing) fall on October 8. It has been determined that I completely tore my ACL and minorly tore my lateral meniscus, and I will need surgery to repair both of these. However, before I can get the surgery, I have to go to physical therapy to regain full range of motion in my knee and leg, which the doctor estimates will take about a month. Once I have regained full range of motion and have the surgery, I will have to be off my feet for 3-4 weeks, and it will be about 3 months from the surgery before I will be back at full capacity (at least, that's the estimate the doctor has given me). 

Since my accident, I have only been able to work just under half what I normally do, and, as tight as money might have been before I fell, it is now even tighter. Add to that the fact that I am underinsured - insured, but it only covers a fraction and I will have to pay a substantial amount out of pocket - and I honestly do not know how I am going to pay my normal bills, let alone my ever-growing ER/specialist/surgery/physical therapy bills.

I take a lot of pride in the fact that I support myself and my tiny family unit, and it is literally tearing me apart inside to have to ask for help. This is not done lightly and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate any and all help. I am only asking for the money to help cover the time out of work and the money I need to cover my out-of-pocket medical bills.
