As a high school teacher on the island of Guam, I don\'t have a lot of options here for continuing training in my field - ceramics. If I lived in the Continental US, I would have a variety of training options, varying from college courses to weekend workshops. This does not even include all the other ceramic artists I could learn from.
I have an opportunity to attend a one week training session taught by Japanese ceramic masters in the town of Taku,Japan this coming May. However, I find myself having to spend my trip money on several unplanned emergencies. I just need the funds to pay for the training and the airfares to get from Guam to Japan.
