lilli was born at 35 weeks weighing 1.7kg. we were flown down to sydney childrens hospital, where I later found out she was born with di george syndrome, which consists of multiple problems. lilli's consists of a vsd (a hole in her heart), cleft, one nostril has a blockage and a narrow airway. at 2 weeks old she had her first heart surgery, to put a banding around her artery to slow the blood flow. while we waited for her next surgery, we were in and out of coffs harbour hospital constantly. at 7 months old lilli had her second heart surgery but this one was open heart, where they patched over the hole and removed the banding. we returned home roughly 3 weeks after. again we ended up in and out of hospital and eventually flown down to sydney hospital twice before she had her third surgery at 9.5months old. her third surgery was a tracheostomy, due to her narrow airways. she is nearly 11 months old and still in sydney children's hospital. she is due for another surgery in roughly three months time. to be able to take her home we need 3 machines and the equipment to go with them, they are expensive and we can't afford the whole amount so we need your help. she has a sister who misses her very much, please donate and help lilli get home.
