Kiersten's 'Brave' wig fund

Please help us to raise money to buy Kiersten a human hair wig that will be made for her to fit her head and keep up with an active child.  Kiersten was diagnosed with Alopecia in June of 2014. Alopecia occurs in 2% of the population and is an autoimmune disorder where your immune system attacks hair follicles which causes the hair to fall out. There is no cure, no 'normal' pattern, and no insight on if her hair will come back, when, how and if it does will it stay or fall out again.  We noticed her hair started falling out earlier this year in small little round patches that grew and grew and grew.  By October we were to the point where Kiersten had little hair left and headbands no longer worked to help cover her large bald spots. So we decided to be BRAVE and threw a shave party at a local salon! Kiersten and 4 other friends shaved thier heads in support. We are now on the path of raising money to buy a custom made wig for Kiesten that has a 'cap' designed for active children so she can swim, play, have her hair styled, ride a bike, swing upside down on a monkey bar..... All the normal things a child should be able to do without the worry of 'will my wig fall off if I do that'.  Please join us in supporting Kiersten.
