Legalize Fen's Moms: Adoption Costs
Donation protected
Since Arizona now recognizes marriage between same-sex couples, Fen can LEGALLY have two moms!
Our family is pursuing a "step parent adoption," meaning that Gayle will officially be Fen's parent and Arizona will reissue the birth certificate listing both Erin and Gayle as parents.
While we are excited about this positive development and the many different protections and opportunities it affords all of us, the legal costs to pursue the adoption will be approximately $2,000. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a whole lot, but it's much more than we can cover on our own at this particular moment.
So we are asking the people we know and love for financial help to legalize our family. Anything that you can give—even $5—would be very much appreciated by all of us.
Love,
Gayle & Erin (Fen's moms)
